Les t.A.T.u, tout le monde les connaît. L'une est brune, l'autre est rousse (Lena → rousse ; Yulia → brune).
Qui sont Yulia Volkova et Lena Katina ?
Yulia Volkova et Lena Katina sont deux jeunes filles de 17 et 18 ans qui chantent depuis leur plus jeune âge. Elles ont toutes deux fait partie du même groupe de chant pour enfants : Neposedi.
Apparemment, Yulia en aurait été exclue assez tôt pour avoir eu un comportement peu tolérable envers ses petits camarades… Lena, de son côté, y restera jusqu'en 1999.
Au début de l'année 2000, Yulia et Lena participent toutes les deux au casting du futur groupe t.A.T.u, sans se douter qu'elles allaient se retrouver après de nombreuses années. Le (futur) producteur de t.A.T.u, Ivan Shapovalov, va finalement les sélectionner parmi plus de 500 candidats !
Bien entendu, Yulia et Lena sont très enthousiastes et Shapovalov remarque au passage que les filles sont « très proches ». Il va alors leur proposer de chanter sur le thème de l'homosexualité…
Le succès immédiat du groupe t.A.T.u
Ni une, ni deux : le succès est immédiat ! Leur premier single cartonne en Russie et passe de nombreuses fois sur MTV Russia. C'est également là que va débuter LA polémique au sujet du groupe… Il paraît que les Russes ont été bouleversés de voir des « gamines » s'embrasser à pleine bouche dans le clip, sur scène, etc.
Sont-elles vraiment lesbiennes ou est-ce un coup marketing ?
Le succès phénoménal de t.A.T.u commence à éveiller la curiosité de nombreux fans. Beaucoup d'entre eux se posent des questions sur la sincérité de leur relation. On ne va pas tourner autour du pot plus longtemps : sont-elles vraiment lesbiennes ? Ou alors serait-ce un « bon coup » de la part du producteur qui aurait flairé l'affaire depuis le début ?
Tout cela n'est pas très net et la presse a bien l'intention d'éclaircir l'affaire, qui commence à prendre beaucoup d'envergure !
Le rôle d'Ivan Shapovalov
Parlons de ce producteur : Ivan Shapovalov. Qui est-il réellement ? Avant son arrivée dans le monde de la musique, il a fait un bref passage dans la publicité. Mais à la base, il a une formation de psychologue pour enfants… Cela paraît assez troublant.
Mais ne nous emballons pas comme certains journalistes le font dans la presse (oui, vous savez, ceux qui diffusent des conclusions bidons en s'appuyant sur des rumeurs infondées). Doit-on réellement croire qu'elles sont manipulées ? Ce ne sont quand même plus des gamines comme certains voudraient le faire croire… À 17-18 ans, je pense qu'on est apte à décider de ce qu'il faut faire et ce qu'il ne faut pas faire. Enfin, c'est mon avis.
L'ascension vers la gloire
Ceci n'enlève rien à cela ! Ce qu'elles veulent avant tout, c'est le succès, la gloire ! Elles sont ambitieuses et donnent tout ce qu'elles ont. Je pense aussi qu'elles ne sont pas idiotes au point de s'aveugler sur les réactions des gens face à leur relation. Elles en rajoutent probablement un peu, mais c'est aussi ça qui fait marcher leur business, il ne faut pas se le cacher !
Il faut quand même avoir un grand courage pour rester zen dans ces situations, surtout quand on voit l'étroitesse d'esprit de certains… Chapeau bas, mesdames !
Le Festivalbar en Italie
Durant l'été, Yulia et Lena ont été invitées au Festivalbar en Italie ! Une sorte de grand concert où sont réunies plus de 15 000 personnes. Là-bas, elles ont interprété leur fameux « All the Things She Said » et le succès a été énorme ! L'organisateur leur avait demandé de ne pas s'embrasser durant la chanson, mais je peux vous dire que le baiser fut long et intense !
En tout cas, le moins qu'on puisse dire pour le moment, c'est que l'Europe soi-disant libérale se montre assez hostile envers t.A.T.u (et donc les homosexuels à la télé… Ça coule de source), ce qui est plutôt dommage. On verra bien la réaction de nos p'tits Français dans quelques semaines…

Mon avis sur t.A.T.u
Je les adore ! Je trouve qu'elles ont un style bien à elles, ça ne ressemble pas à du Lorie ou autre P** du même style (c'est mon avis, je respecte le vôtre). Leur album est merveilleux (200 km/h in the Wrong Lane). Même si vous ne les aimez pas, écoutez l'album, ça en vaut le détour !
